This is a 10-inch Rider manufactured by the Rider-Ericsson Engine Co. around 1890. This engine is 7'9" tall and weighs 3700 pounds. It was designed to pump water at the rate of 3500 gallons per hour on 7-8 pounds of coal.

This is the side view of the 10-inch Rider above. This engine was 1 of 3 used on a cattle ranch in Australia for pumping water for cattle.
